About BASIS
BASIS Holdings Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Business & Search Information Services Sdn Bhd) (BASIS) had been managing and providing online credit information to financial institutions, stock-broking companies, legal firms and prominent MNCs more than 2 decades. Its services have assisted credit decision makers to make sound credit decisions everyday, thereby reducing their risks in extending credit.

Today BASIS is a diversified group of companies providing credit reporting services, receivable management services, recruitment & staffing, human resource & career development, training & publication.


BASIS Milestones

1985		•	Established in March 6, 1985 with 3 staff only.
1987		•	First company in Malaysia to computerized its services.
1988		•	Diversified into receivable management services by setting up BASIS (RMS) Service Sdn. Bhd.
1990		•	First company in Malaysia to provide online services to its subscribers.
1992		•	Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) bought over 30% share in BASIS.
1995		•	Expand into credit reporting services & set up BASIS Corporation Sdn. Bhd.
1998		•	BASIS was appointed as the Malaysia member for the Credit Alliance Network which set up by Coface, world second largest credit insurance company. This was witness by the then Minister of International Trade & Industry, Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz
2003		•	Former Prime Minister, YAB Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi officially launched the 1st Edition Malaysia 1000 Directory and presented awards to top corporate performers.
		•	The Asia Information Network (ASIAGATE) was setup by BASIS jointly with the Asia most reputable credit reporting agencies. Asiagate was launched by YB Datuk Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim, the then Minister in Prime Minister Department.
2004		•	Joint venture with RAM-DP information Services to form BRIS Information Service Sdn. Bhd.
2005		•	YAB Prime Minister Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak(then Deputy PM) officially launched the 2nd Edition Malaysia 1000 Directory and presented awards to top corporate performers.
2006		•	Official launch of Jobmarket.com.my portal by the former Minister of Human Resources, YB Dato Wira Dr Fong Chan Onn who also witnessed the Official Collaboration Signing Ceremony between Jobmarklet Malaysia and UM, UITM, KLIUC, APIIT, BINARY, STAMFORD, COSMOPOINT, YPC-iTWeb, GEOMATIKA).
2007		•	Launching of the 1st National Level Internship Challenge by YB Dato' Mustapa Mohamed, then Minister of Higher Education) and witnessed the Official Collaboration Signing Ceremony with UIA, UNIMAS, UNIMAP, UTP, UniKL MFI, IKIP, UNITI, INTI SUBANG, TAYLORS, Cybernetics, KPTM, UTHM.
2008		•	YAB Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Dato' Muhyiddin bin Mohd Yassin who was the Minister of International Trade & Industry officially launched the 3rd Edition Malaysia 1000 Directory, and presented awards to top corporate performers.
